In the ongoing IPL 2025 season, Rashid has conceded 33 sixes, making him the bowler to have given away the most sixes in a single IPL season.

This surpasses the previous record held by Mohammed Siraj, who conceded 31 sixes in the 2022 edition.

Rashid, typically known for his economical bowling and wicket-taking flair, has looked out of rhythm this year. Faced with aggressive batting line-ups, even his sharp variations and googlies have failed to keep the boundaries in check. Big hitters have targeted him consistently, resulting in an unusually high number of sixes.

Joining Rashid in this unwanted club are Wanindu Hasaranga and Yuzvendra Chahal, both of whom have conceded 30 sixes in a single season.

Despite this blemish, Rashid Khan’s overall T20 legacy remains intact. In 96 T20 Internationals, he has claimed 161 wickets at an exceptional economy rate of 6.08. He is: 1. The fastest to reach 100 T20I wickets 2. Ranked second in the world for most T20I wickets 3. The only bowler with four T20 hat-tricks.

Every great player experiences lows, and for Rashid, this IPL season may simply be a rough patch.
