Bangladesh suffer a huge blow ahead of their 3-match T20I series vs Pakistan, as veteran Mustafizur Rahman bas been ruled out of the series due to hand injury.
The seasoned pacer has now been replaced by Khaled Ahmed in the side, as Bangla Tigers will be playing their matches at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, starting May 28.
The left-arm pacer sustained the injury during Delhi Capitals’ IPL 2025 match against Punjab Kings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, as he attempted to caught and bowled Josh Inglis.
“Mustafizur suffered a clip fracture on his left thumb while playing his last match of the Indian Premier League yesterday. This injury requires a period of rest and rehabilitation. As per our current assessment, he will be unavailable for selection for the next two to three weeks. We will conduct a follow-up evaluation after two weeks to monitor his recovery progress,” said Bangladesh national team physio Delowar Hossain, as reported by ESPN Cricinfo.
