IPL 2025 New Schedule: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that the IPL season will resume from May 17 (Saturday) across six venues, with the final scheduled for June 3 (Tuesday) as per the revised fixture. The tournament was abruptly suspended on May 8 after the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match in Dharamsala was cancelled due to a Pakistani attempt to breach Indian airspace near Chandigarh, which led to a stadium blackout. However, following a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, board officials opted for a swift restart of the league.
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is pleased to announce the resumption of the TATA IPL 2025. After extensive consultations with government and security agencies, and with all the key stakeholders, the Board has decided to proceed with the remainder of the season.A total of 17 matches will be played across 6 venues, starting May 17, 2025, and culminating in the final on June 3, 2025. The revised schedule includes two double-headers, which will be played on two Sundays,” said the BCCI in an official statement on May 12 (Monday)
