Hyderabad University Unveils AI System To Reduce Mental Fatigue, Boost Performance

Woxsen University has taken a bold step in AI innovation with the launch of a Neuro-Adaptive Interface designed to track cognitive and behavioral responses in real-time. Developed by the university’s AI Research Centre, the advanced system aims to enhance user engagement, optimise digital interactions, and minimise cognitive fatigue using cutting-edge artificial intelligence.

Revolutionising Human-AI Collaboration

Leveraging Electroencephalogram (EEG) technology alongside biometric sensing, the AI-powered system actively monitors brain activity, heart rate fluctuations, and pupil movements. These inputs help detect stress and fatigue levels, allowing the interface to adapt in real-time. By dynamically adjusting complexity and optimising user experience, the system ensures smoother interactions with AI-driven applications across industries.

The technology is designed to personalise digital environments while maintaining ethical AI practices. This prevents dependency while maximising productivity and efficiency. “AI should enhance human performance without causing cognitive strain. Our Neuro-Adaptive Interface optimises digital environments in real-time, ensuring seamless and ethical adaptation across industries,” said Dr. Raul Villamarin Rodriguez, Vice President of Woxsen University.

Boosting Performance and Reducing Fatigue

According to Woxsen University’s research, the interface is expected to enhance user performance by 50 per cent and reduce cognitive fatigue by 40 per cent. This marks a major leap in AI-human interaction, particularly in fields requiring sustained mental focus. The system enables adaptive environments that intelligently modify workloads based on user conditions, reducing unnecessary stress and enhancing engagement.

“By fine-tuning digital experiences with AI-powered insights, we are ensuring that users remain productive without being overwhelmed,” Dr. Rodriguez added.

Transforming Industries with AI

Designed for a broad range of applications, the Neuro-Adaptive Interface is poised to make a significant impact across multiple sectors, including gaming, AI-powered education, cognitive therapy, financial trading, autonomous vehicles, and immersive VR/AR experiences. To efficiently process user data, the system employs Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), which analyze workload distribution and optimise task allocation within teams.

By harnessing real-time user feedback and cognitive insights, Woxsen University’s latest AI breakthrough is set to redefine digital experiences while prioritizing ethical and responsible AI integration.
