GT Vs MI: Rohit Sharma achieves yet another milestone in his storied career, as the former Mumbai Indians captain reaches 600 fours in the Indian Premier League. The MI opener attained the feat during Gujarat Titans Vs Mumbai Indians, IPL 2025 match, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, March 29.
The ‘Hitman’ now becomes only the 4th batsman in the history of the league to score 600 fours. He now joins the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, and David Warner.
Most Fours Hit by a Player in IPL
- 768 – Shikhar Dhawan
- 711 – Virat Kohli
- 663 – David Warner
- 601 – Rohit Sharma
While Shikhar Dhawan (retired) and David Warner (unsold) are not a part of the IPL anymore, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma do have a chance of breaking the record, as they are currently active in the richest cricketing franchise league of the world.
Rohit still has a long way to go, and might not have a realistic chance of breaking Shikhar’s record, but Virat Kohli certainly can, as he just needs 58 more fours to become the all-time leader in the list.
Trent Boult Reflects On His Side’s Bowling Effort During Mid-Innings Break
Trent Boult (Mumbai Indians):
“Yeah another challenge. There was hardly any swing around. I feel the boys did really well with the ball tonight. Half the job is done for us. We have some quality batters in our side so hopefully we can chase it down.”
“Yeah it’s a big ground and it was also a different soil. Without giving too many secrets away, I think the wicket was more slower than we thought. I think we did a good job, restricting them to under 200.”
“Yeah, you are allowed to have three more fielders outside the circle after the powerplay so that really helps the bowlers. I think the powerplay is a different ball game. In parts I thought we executed our plans pretty well. (Is there any dew?) Yes, there is some dew around. Hopefully it works in our favour.”
