Jadeja’s Historic Feat: First IPL Player To Achieve Milestone

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) may have suffered a setback against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), but Ravindra Jadeja made history at Chepauk.

He became the first player in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to score 3,000 runs and take 100 wickets in the tournament. Jadeja reached this milestone during his 25-run knock against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). However, it wasn’t his best day with the ball, as he conceded 37 runs in 3 overs without taking a wicket.

A landmark achievement for Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja’s all-round brilliance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) reached new heights in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). His 25-run innings off 19 balls, featuring two fours and a six, helped him reach the 3,000-run milestone while already being a member of the 100-wicket club.

This historic achievement makes him the only player in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to accomplish this rare double. However, his bowling performance fell short, as he went wicketless and proved expensive, conceding 37 runs in three overs.

RCB ends 17-year wait for win at Chepauk

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ended their long-standing drought at Chepauk with a thumping 50-run win, marking their first win at the venue in 17 years. Batting first, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) posted a competitive 196/7 in 20 overs, with Rajat Patidar leading the charge with a well-crafted 51 off 32 balls.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK), in response, struggled to keep up with the chase, managing only 146/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Rachin Ravindra was the top scorer for CSK with 41 runs, but the rest of the batting lineup faltered under pressure. Josh Hazlewood delivered a match-winning performance, claiming three wickets, while Yash Dayal added to Chennai Super Kings’ woes with two wickets, sealing a historic win for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Chepauk.
