Jofra Archer’s ‘Thick Chain’: Price Tag Will Shock You

In Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday, Ajinkya Rahane’s KKR secured a thumping eight-wicket win.

The spotlight was also on England pacer Jofra Archer – not for his bowling, where he conceded 33 runs in just 2.3 overs, but for his extravagant gold chain.

Jofra Archer’s ‘bling’ breaks the internet

Archer, known for his stylish accessories, often sports thick gold chains and luxury watches. This time, his chain became a hot topic among fans, who were curious about its price. Reports suggest that the chain is worth a staggering £125,000, approximately Rs 1.5 crore in Indian currency.

When Archer bowled most expensive spell in IPL history

Sunrisers Hyderabad batters dismantled Rajasthan Royals’ Jofra Archer in IPL 2025 match number 2 on Sunday (March 23), handing him the most expensive bowling figures in IPL history. Archer endured a nightmare spell, conceding 76 runs in his four overs without taking a wicket.

With Sanju Samson unavailable, stand-in skipper Riyan Parag chose to field first, but Sunrisers’ openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head made a fiery start, racing to 45/0 in just three overs. Although Abhishek fell in the next over, Head unleashed an assault on Archer right from his first over.

In the fifth over, Travis Head smashed Archer for a 105-meter six along with three fours, scoring 23 runs off the over.

The onslaught continued in the 13th over when Ishan Kishan clobbered three sixes, adding another 22 runs to Jofra Archer’s tally. His final over proved disastrous, leaking 19 more runs, including a beamer that went for four byes.

Archer finished his spell with a record-breaking 0/76 in four overs, the worst bowling spell in IPL history.
