Setback For India: Two Bowlers Take A Hit In Latest ICC T20 Rankings


The Indian Premier League (IPL) is in full swing, bringing together top cricketers from around the world. Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its latest T20 bowling rankings, shaking up the standings.

While New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy made a big jump, two Indian bowlers have dropped in the rankings.

Indian bowlers lose ground

In the latest ICC T20 rankings, Ravi Bishnoi has slipped from sixth to seventh place, while Arshdeep Singh has dropped from ninth to tenth, putting him at risk of falling out of the top 10.

Jacob Duffy’s rapid rise

New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy has been rewarded for his outstanding performance in the recent five-match T20 series against Pakistan, where he picked up 13 wickets. His efforts have propelled him seven places up the rankings to the fifth position with 694 rating points.

Varun Chakravarthy (India) – 706 points

Adil Rashid (England) – 705 points

Wanindu Hasaranga (Sri Lanka) – 700 points

Australia’s Travis Head continues to lead the ICC T20I batting rankings, maintaining his position at the top. He is followed by India’s Abhishek Sharma and England’s Phil Salt.

The biggest mover in the latest rankings update is New Zealand’s Mark Chapman, who climbed 10 spots to 41st with 547 rating points. His rise comes after a standout performance against Pakistan.

Travis Head holds the top spot with 856 rating points. India’s Abhishek Sharma follows closely at second place with 829 points, while England’s Phil Salt sits in third with 815 points.

Tilak Varma, another rising Indian batter, is ranked fourth with 804 points, just ahead of his compatriot and former No. 1 T20I batter, Suryakumar Yadav, who holds the fifth position with 739 points.
