Indian cricket icon and newly appointed Rajasthan Royals (RR) head coach Rahul Dravid demonstrated his unwavering commitment by attending the franchise’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 pre-season training session, despite nursing a leg injury sustained during a local league match. A video posted on the official social media handle of Rajasthan Royals showcased the former India cricketer arriving in a golf cart and then walking using crutches to a team’s training camp.
Dravid joined the Rajasthan Royals’ preparation camp in Jaipur, undeterred by his injury. Images and videos surfaced showing him talking to the young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and explosive batting all-rounder Riyan Parag while wearing a pneumatic walking boot and using crutches.

Dravid suffered the injury last week while batting for Vijaya Cricket Club against Jayanagar Cricketers in the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Group I, Division 2 semifinal for the Sri Nassur Memorial Shield.
The 52-year-old was playing alongside his 16-year-old son, Anvay, when he pulled a calf muscle just two balls into his innings. Despite the discomfort, he continued to bat and scored a determined 43 off 66 deliveries, sharing a crucial fourth-wicket stand with Anvay. However, Vijaya CC ultimately lost the match.
