Actress Kubbra Sait revealed that she auditioned for the role of Surpanakha in Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated drama ‘Ramayana’. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are all set to portray the roles of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita in the upcoming film.
Kubbra Sait says she is ‘perfect fit’ for the role of Surpanakha
Kubbra Sait said, “I was perfect for the role of Surpanakha because of my nose.(laughs) I would have been a perfect fit for it, but they did not cast me. Now I am curious to know who they have given this role to.”
The ‘Sacred Games’ fame concluded, “I did audition for Surpanakha, but you don’t get everything you try for, and that’s okay. It doesn’t mean you lose everything. I’m grateful for the experience.”
The film also stars Yash as King Ravaan, Lara Dutta, Sunny Deol, and Indira Krishna in key roles. ‘Ramayana’ is set to be released in two parts, with the first installment expected to hit theaters in 2026, followed by the second part in 2027.

Kubbra Sait films
Kubbra Sait will next be seen in the highly anticipated ‘The Trial’ Season 2, where she shares the screen with Kajol. The series is an adaptation of Robert King and Michelle King’s ‘The Good Wife’.
Additionally, Kubbra stars in ‘Son of Sardar 2’, alongside Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film, produced by Ajay Devgn under Devgn Films in collaboration with Jio Studios, revolves around a fierce gang war between Bihari and Punjabi dons. This sequel to the 2012 hit ‘Son of Sardaar’ also features Sonakshi Sinha.
She will also appear in an untitled comedy entertainer directed by David Dhawan, starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Maniesh Paul.
