Chaitra Navratri 2025: Navratri is one of the most significant festivals in Hinduism, celebrated four times a year. Among these, Chaitra Navratri holds special importance as it falls in the Hindu month of Chaitra. This festival begins on the first day of the Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month and lasts for nine days.

During Navratri, devotees worship the nine different forms of Goddess Durga. The festival starts with the ritual of Kalash Sthapana or Ghatsthapana, followed by continuous lamp lighting (Akhanda Deep), fasting, and Kanya Pujan. The celebrations conclude with Ram Navami on the ninth day. The entire period is marked by devotion and spiritual energy.

When Is Chaitra Navratri 2025?

As per the Hindu Panchang, Chaitra Navratri in 2025 will commence on March 30. The Pratipada Tithi will begin on March 29 at 4:27 PM and end on March 30 at 12:49 PM. As per Udaya Tithi, the first day of Navratri and the ritual of Kalash Sthapana will take place on March 30. The festival will conclude on April 7 with the celebration of Ram Navami.

Ghatsthapana Muhurat For Chaitra Navratri 2025:

The auspicious time for Ghatsthapana is from 6:13 AM to 10:22 AM on March 30, 2025. The Abhijit Muhurat for the same will be from 12:01 PM to 12:50 PM.

Nine Days Of Chaitra Navratri And Goddess Worship Schedule:

Each day of Chaitra Navratri is dedicated to a different form of Goddess Durga.

  • March 30 (Sunday): Worship of Maa Shailputri
  • March 31 (Monday): Worship of Maa Brahmacharini
  • April 1 (Tuesday): Worship of Maa Chandraghanta
  • April 2 (Wednesday): Worship of Maa Kushmanda
  • April 3 (Thursday): Worship of Maa Skandamata
  • April 4 (Friday): Worship of Maa Katyayani
  • April 5 (Saturday): Worship of Maa Kalaratri
  • April 6 (Sunday): Worship of Maa Mahagauri
  • April 7 (Monday): Worship of Maa Siddhidatri, followed by Ram Navami celebrations
