The decision paid didvideds as Kerala ran through the top-order of the home side, and left them feeling at 24/3 after 13 overs.
Karun Nair and Danish Malewar continued their impressive form by registering a mammoth 215-run partnership for the 4th wickets to restore stability in their first innings.
The partnership propelled the side beyond the 200-run mark on an evenly-balanced surface for both batters and bowlers.

Vidarbha had the upper hand at the end of Day 1, with them dominating Session 2 & 3, and if the pair of Danish Malewar and Yash Thakur avoid early jitters in the morning session of Day 2, Vidarbha might be in for a huge first innings total against Kerala.
