‘Dil Ke Armaan Aansuon Mein…’: How Pak Legends Slammed Team After India Humiliation — WATCH

Champions Trophy 2025: India once again dominated Pakistan, securing a commanding six-wicket win in their crucial Champions Trophy 2025 IND vs PAK group-stage clash on February 23 (Sunday). Pakistan’s underwhelming performance made the contest one-sided and to add more insult to their injuries, a day after their defeat to India, Pakistan were officially knocked out of the tournament with a game still left, marking a new low for their cricket. Once known for their unpredictability, Pakistan’s recent performances have lacked the spark that once defined their game.

The defeat sparked outrage across Pakistan, with fans mocking and trolling their own team on social media. Even former Pakistani players couldn’t hold back, openly expressing their frustration over the team’s dismal performance.

Pakistani cricket legends like Shoaib Akhtar, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and Shoaib Malik all voiced their frustration with the team’s performance and management. Akhtar was particularly blunt, calling the team’s leadership “brainless and clueless.” He also shared a video of Shoaib Malik singing the song “Dil Ke Armaan Aansuon Mein Beh Gaye,” reflecting the nation’s disappointment.

Here’s a look at the videos:

While venting his frustration the legendary Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram urged PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi to intervene and demand accountability, emphasising the need for drastic changes to rebuild the team ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup.

In another viral clip from the show, Wasim Akram humorously compared the Pakistan team to monkeys while criticising their diet during the match against India.

“I think it was the first or second drinks break, and there was a plate full of bananas for the players. Mein kaha ennay kele te baandar nahi khaande (Even monkeys don’t eat so many bananas). And it’s their food. If our captain had been Imran Khan, he would have given me a beating for it,” Akram joked on the show.
