‘Faking My Death Was The Test & You All Passed’, Duolingo’s Green Pesky Owl Returns From The De

Duolingo’s brand mascot, the polarising green owl, Duo, recently met an unexpected and mysterious demise, or that’s what the viral campaign suggested. Renowned artists like Dua Lipa were also roped in as she mourned Duo’s death. Now, the green pesky owl is back from the dead. Duolingo’s official X profile earlier said that it was taken out by a Tesla Cybertruck.

The owl returned on Monday and posted, “Y’all really think I’d let a Cybertruck take me out? #duolingohasrisen.”

On February 11, the pesky owl’s death was announced on X and the statement read, “Authorities are currently investigating his cause of death and we are cooperating fully. Tbh, he probably died waiting for you to do your lesson, but what do we know.”

On the very next day, an update surfaced and the company’s X profile wrote, “UPDATE: Officials have identified cause of death. More details to follow. Thank you for holding space for Dualingo.”

The next update revealed that it was taken out by a Cybertruck. The post read, “UPDATE: Reward for whoever can identify the driver. Please post any leads on Twitter. Thank you for your patience with us during these trying times.”

Now, Duolingo revealed that it has risen from the dead. In another post, it wrote, “Faking my death was the test and you all passed.”
