Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna starrer ‘Chhaava’ is riding high on a glowing word-of-mouth reviews. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film released on Valentine’s Day 2025. ‘Chhaava’ is all set to break box office records given its impressive advance bookings figure, especially from Maharashtra.
As per industry tracking site, ‘Chhaava’ is doing quite well at the box office. The advance bookings of the film seem to suggest that ‘Chhaava’ might turn out to be Vicky’s biggest openers. The early estimate for Chhaava’s day 1 box office collection stands at Rs. 17.89 cr. In Maharashtra, ‘Chhaava’ has so far grossed Rs. 10. 05 cr, including block seats. In Delhi, the film has collected Rs. 1.23 cr and Rs. 1.16 cr from Karnataka.
Chhaava advance bookings
As per an early estimate report on Sacnilk.com, ‘Chhaava’ collected Rs. 8.88 cr from advance booking collection alone. The Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna film sold over 3.18 lakh tickets for more than 11,133 shows across the country.
A major part of the earnings has come from the Hindi format, contributing about Rs. 8.48 cr. in the total collection while IMAX 2D version contributed only Rs. 29.41 lakh, while the ICE and 4DX versions together generated around Rs. 10 lakh.
Area wide, Maharashtra has a massive role to play in the advance bookings numbers, contributing Rs. 5.67 cr alone to the film’s total collection. Interestingly, as per Sacnilk.com, the film did not cross Rs. 1 cr mark in any other state barring Maharashtra. However, despite a strong start, ‘Chhaava’ is likely to face a tough competition from Marvel’s superhero film ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, which was also released on February 14.
