West Indies cricketer Jomel Warrican has won the ICC Men’s Player Of The Month for January 2025, as the left-arm off-spinner bamboozled Pakistan in the recently-concluded Test series by recording his career-best figures.
The Caribbean was rewarded for his excellent performancs, as he was named the ‘Player of the Series’ on the Pakistan tour, and had his name etched on the ‘Multan Honours Board’.

“It’s an honour to win this award. One of my goals for this year was my first five-for in Test cricket, but I did not think that it would be this grand! I see this as one small step in my cricketing career, and I look forward to many more. I promised my captain something special in this series, especially when my father, my biggest supporter, predicted a phenomenal performance for me.”

West Indies managed to win their first Test in Pakistan after 35 years, as Jomel Warrican starred with 19 wickets in two Tests, enabling the Caribbeans to finish above Pakistan in the World Test Championship 2023-25 points table.
