While most new releases are struggling at the box office, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru’s 2016 romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam has defied expectations with its re-release, surpassing its original lifetime earnings within just two days. The film continues its strong run, registering an impressive first Monday collection that is double the combined total of Badass Ravikumar and Loveyapa.
Sanam Teri Kasam Re-Release Box Office Collection – Day 4
On Monday, Sanam Teri Kasam, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, earned an estimated ₹3–3.25 crore nett in India, taking its total re-release collection to ₹18.5 crore, as per Sacnilk. This is more than double the ₹9 crore the film made during its original theatrical run in 2016. Industry projections suggest that the film’s first-week re-release collection could land between ₹27 crore and ₹30 crore.
The film opened its re-release with ₹4.25 crore on day one, followed by ₹5.25 crore on Saturday and ₹6–6.25 crore on Sunday. It then settled at ₹3–3.25 crore on Monday. In comparison, Badass Ravikumar collected ₹61 lakh, while Loveyapa earned ₹55 lakh, bringing their combined Monday total to just ₹1.16 crore.
However, the film’s makers have reported slightly higher figures, claiming that Sanam Teri Kasam earned ₹5.14 crore, ₹6.22 crore, and ₹7.21 crore over its first three days, pushing its total to ₹18.57 crore. Based on these numbers, the four-day re-release collection is estimated to be around ₹21.5 crore.
