IPL 2025: Chennai Super Kings’ Possible Opening Combinations For Indian Premier League 2025

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have built a solid squad for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, aiming for their sixth title. The franchise has retained its established opening duo, expected to provide strong starts once again.

Who will open for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025?

Ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) retained Ruturaj Gaikwad but initially released Devon Conway. However, they used the Right to Match (RTM) card to bring Conway back into the squad. Given their past success, Gaikwad and Conway are expected to continue as Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) preferred opening pair.

Gaikwad-Conway’s proven partnership

IPL 2022: Gaikwad-Conway opened in 7 matches, scoring 359 runs, with a highest partnership of 182.

IPL 2023: Gaikwad-Conway opened in 15 matches, scoring 889 runs, including a best stand of 141.

Devon Conway missed being part of last year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) season due to injury but is now fit and ready to reunite with Ruturaj Gaikwad for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, aiming to replicate their previous success.

CSK retained five key players for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, spending Rs 65 crore, including Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who was secured as an “uncapped” player for Rs 4 crore.

The franchise has maintained its core while making key additions to strengthen the squad. A major highlight is the return of Ravichandran Ashwin after a decade, reuniting him with Ravindra Jadeja to form a lethal spin duo.

Also, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) powered their spin attack by acquiring Afghanistan’s rising talent Noor Ahmad, adding more depth to their bowling arsenal.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025: MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Matheesha Pathirana, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Noor Ahmad, Ravichandran Ashwin, Devon Conway, Syed Khaleel Ahmed, Rachin Ravindra, Anshul Kamboj, Rahul Tripathi, Sam Curran, Gurjapneet Singh, Nathan Ellis, Deepak Hooda, Jamie Overton, Vijay Shankar, Vansh Bedi, Andre Siddarth, Shreyas Gopal, Ramakrishna Ghosh, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Mukesh Choudhary, Sheikh Rashid.
