Harshit Rana Unwanted Record: The first ODI of the three-match ODI series between India and England is presently being played in Nagpur, where fast bowler Harshit Rana and left-handed batter Yashasvi Jaiswal made their ODI debuts for Team India. However, Harshit Rana’s debut took an unfortunate turn as he registered an unwanted record.
Harshit Rana registers unwanted record on ODI debut
With Jasprit Bumrah ruled out of IND vs ENG ODI series due to injury, Harshit Rana was included in the playing XI. Captain Rohit Sharma handed him the ball for the sixth over, but England’s Phil Salt went on the attack, punishing the debutant.
Harshit was hammered for 26 runs in the over, including three sixes and two fours, making it the most expensive over ever bowled by an Indian on ODI debut. No Indian bowler had previously conceded as many runs in a single over in their first ODI appearance.
