Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde starrer ‘Deva’ is picking up decent business at the box office. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews’, who has made his Hindi debut, ‘Deva’ released on January 31, 2024. As per a trade analysis site Sacnilk’s report, ‘Deva’ has crossed Rs. 25 cr mark at the box office.

The report stated that Deva’s overall collection now stands at Rs. 26.65 cr as per early estimates. ‘Deva’ has already seen a dip in its numbers Monday onwards. On its sixth day of release, ‘Deva’ collected Rs. 2.35 cr, which is the lowest it has collected in terms of single day collections.
On its opening day, ‘Deva’ collected Rs. 5.5 cr net, and saw a 16.36% surge in collections on Saturday, taking the total tally to Rs. 6.4 cr. However, on Monday the film saw a massive dip in collections with a 62.07% drop in earnings.

After the film’s release in theatres, Shahid shared an emotional post on Instagram also sharing the hard work and dedication that went into the entire project. For those unaware, ‘Deva’ is a remake of Rosshan’s 2013 Malayalam film ‘Mumbai Police’ which starred Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead. Shahid plays the role of ACP Dev Ambre, a man who loses his memory while trying to solve his best friend’s murder. Pooja Hegde plays the female lead while Pavail Gulati and Kubbra Sait also play key roles in the film.
