Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, which will host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 tournament’s first match between Pakistan and New Zealand, is set to feature an exciting lineup of performances by renowned Pakistani artists.
Spectacular Opening Ceremony in Lahore
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) President Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that celebrated Pakistani singers Ali Zafar, Aima Baig, and Arif Lohar will perform at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 opening ceremony, scheduled to begin at 7 PM.
Gaddafi Stadium will also host four Champions Trophy matches, including a high-profile clash between England and Australia on February 22 and a semi-final on March 5.

Karachi to host additional Opening Ceremony
In addition to Lahore, Karachi’s National Stadium will also host an opening ceremony on February 11. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has highlighted major upgrades at Gaddafi Stadium, including improved floodlights, increased seating capacity, and a state-of-the-art electronic scoreboard.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised the efforts of those involved in preparing the venue despite challenges. The Karachi opening ceremony will take place in the presence of Pakistan’s President, Asif Ali Zardari.
