‘Sky Force’ Twitter Review: Akshay Kumar’s Action Drama Gets Average Reactions


New Delhi: The highly-anticipated action film ‘Sky Force’, starring Akshay Kumar, debuted in theatres today (January 24). The film depicts the 1965 Indo-Pak air war and the high-stakes retaliation assault by India on Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase. Social media users have been quite responsive to the film, which stars Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur in their breakthrough roles.

There were many who were disappointed by the film’s story while others lauded Akshay Kumar’s performance and the soundtrack.

A moviegoer gushed about the movie saying, “Akshay Kumar delivers a knockout performance in #SkyForce. This film is set to become a classic!”

Meanwhile, a disappointed fan wrote, “Another disappointing film from Akshay Kumar… No dedication for the role and film… The storyline is below average… Akshay Kumar using a teleprompter… Not a single powerful dialogue. Forced humour… Akshay Kumar is now an irrelevant actor.”

‘Sky Force’ Plot

Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, ‘Sky Force’ is based on the true story of Squadron Leader Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya MVC, who went missing during the 1965 India-Pakistan War. Veer Pahariya and Akshay Kumar play a pivotal part in the film.

As the film continues to attract attention, it remains to be seen how it will perform at the box office.
