Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, met Microsoft founder Bill Gates in Davos, Switzerland on Wedneday. Visiting the city to attend the World Economic Forum, the CM is scheduled to meet officials from the event.
An official release noted, “The chiefs of Unilever, DP World Group, Petronas, Google Cloud, Pepsi and AstraZeneca are going to meet the CM. The CM will also hold discussions with WEF representatives,” reported PTI.
Further, during the visit, Naidu is expected to finalise an agreement with Greenko, a renewable energy company, and also take part in roundtable conferences on topics like organic farming, green hydrogen, renewable power, and human mission calibration.
Naidu will also promote ‘Brand Andhra’ and talk about the investment opportunities in the state at the Forum, the release stated.
Earlier, in a discussion regarding development of Petrochemical hub, the CM highlighted the potential of Andhra Pradesh in the area. He said, “Our state is home to India’s largest Petroleum, Chemicals, and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR), spanning an impressive 640 sq. km. .”

On the second day of his visit on Tuesday, the official met with the executives of major global firms such as Lakshmi N Mittal and Aditya Mittal. Notably, ArcelorMittal/Nippon Steel recently announced a record invesemnt of Rs 1.4 lakh crore for a 17.8 million-ton integrated steel project in Anakapalli. He also met other major executives such as Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins.
