India Squad For ICC Champions Trophy 2025: The time has finally arrived for Indian fans to fasten their seat belts, as Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have officially announced the 15-man squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Revenge will be on the minds of the Indian team, as their first match is against Pakistan, a side who handed India their worst-ever defeat in a final of an ICC event.

Rohit Sharma will be captaining the side, and the squad features the likes of Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jasprit Bumrah.
The 2017 loss still haunts the Indian Cricket Team (ICT) fans, as a young squad of Sarfraz Ahmed, spearheaded by legendary Mohammad Amir, bamboozled the star-studded batting order of India, and this time around, the pressure is immense on head coach Gautam Gambhir, as India are coming off a horrific run of form from past couple of months.
Ever since beating Bangladesh 2-0 in the Test series, it has been a downhill journey for the Indian side in the red-ball cricket, as series whitewash at home, at the hands of New Zealand, added a whole different level of embarrassment.
If New Zealand was not enough, Australia tormnented the Indian team on the latter’s Tour Down Under, as Pat Cummins’ side won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 by a whopping 3-1 margin.
Shubman Gill has been made the vice-captain of the side, and the squad will be carrying KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant as two wicket-keeper batsman.
