Vietnamese carmaker Vinfast will showcase its cars for the first time in India with two of its premium SUVs. Here, we will talk about the VF9 which is its biggest SUV. Vinfast only makes electric cars and the VF9 is its most luxurious.
At more than 5m long, the Vinfast VF9 is a proper three row luxury SUV while it gets the design theme which is also followed by other Vinfast cars including the grille design as well as the logo.
It features an aerodynamic inspired styling for range while it is huge with massive wheels as well. It has loads of space with three row seating for 7 passengers while the interior has vegan leather too.
Inside, you get a massive touchscreen which is 15.6-inch in size while features include a panoramic sunroof, OTA updates, ADAS and active ambient lighting plus more. The seats are captain chairs for the second row and it will also get massage option for the seats at the front.
It has a dual motor configuration with 402bhp while it claims to go 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds. The range is meanwhile at around 530km.
This is the biggest Vinfast SUV and it could also come to India but whether it could be CBU or assembled here is uncertain. Vinfast is constructing its India plant in Tamil Nadu and will have a range of EVs on sale in India.
Globally it competes with the Kia EV9 as a big three row EV and its pricing could be near Rs 1 crore if imported while assembled, prices would be down considerably.
