Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Rice
  • 4 Tablespoon Moong Dal
  • 2 Tablespoon Ghee
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 8 Piece Cashews
  • 2 Piece Green Chillies (spilt)
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • Salt
  • Water

Cooking Instructions

Roast The Dal: Dry roast the moong dal in a pan and wait till it turns slightly golden. Once done, set it aside.

Cook The Rice And Dal: Take a pressure cooker and add in the rice, roasted moong dal, turmeric, and water. Cook till the rice and dal are soft.

Tempering: Take a pan and ghee in it. Add cumin seeds, cashews, grated ginger, black pepper, and green chillies. Saute till you can smell the fragrance.

Combine: Mix together the cooked dal and rice with the tempering.

Serve: Garnish the recipe with extra ghee and enjoy it with sambar or chutney.
