Mumbai Indians’ New IPL 2025 Jersey Faces Backlash From Fans – See Reactions


Mumbai Indians (MI) revealed their new jersey for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Thursday (December 12), retaining their iconic blue and gold colors while adding a fresh touch with the initials “MI” on the shirt.

However, the new design has received a wave of negative feedback from fans, with many commenting that it bears a resemblance to the jersey of another IPL franchise, Delhi Capitals (DC).

Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation introduced as MI’s new principal sponsor

MI announced Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, previously known as L&T Switchgear, as their new principal sponsor for the IPL 2025 season. The sponsor’s logo will be prominently displayed on the front of both the team’s official jersey and training gear.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lauritz Knudsen as our principal partner. This partnership reflects shared values of innovation and performance, both on and off the field. Together, we aim to continue delivering excellence for our fans worldwide,” MI spokesperson said about this collaboration, Insidesport reported.

Mumbai Indians (MI) retained five key players for IPL 2025 season: Jasprit Bumrah (18 crore), Hardik Pandya (16.35 crore),  Suryakumar Yadav (16.35 crore), Rohit Sharma (16.30 crore), and Tilak Varma (8 crore). During the auction, MI acquired 18 new players to strengthen their squad.
