As the current 2024-25 fiscal year comes to a close in March, investors are gearing up for trading. However, to plan your trades better, it is advisable to keep a track of the stock market holidays lined up in March 2025. This holiday calendar is issued by the stock exchanges and is available on their official website . 

The BSE publishes the complete Trading Holidays list every year. Generally, this list includes holidays for festivals, national holidays, and weekend leaves. Stock markets remain closed for trading on all weekends, except special occasions such as Budget presentation. Therefore, investors should depend on this list to understand the schedule of the market and plan their trades accordingly.

In March, the stock market will observe 12 holidays. Investors will not be able to place any trades in the market during these days. Apart from weekend holidays, the markets will also remain closed for the festival of Holi and Ramzan Id in the month.

Stock Markets Closed On Holi, Ramzan Id?

The stock markets will be remain closed on March 14, in celebration of the festival of Holi. Further, the day being followed by a weekend will give investors the benefit of a long holiday.

Additionally, markets will also be shut for trading on the last day of the month, March 31, to mark the festival of Ramzan Id. Therefore, the last trading day in March will be 28th, as the 29th and 30th will be weekend and markets will be closed on the days.
