IRCTC Website Down: IRCTC, the online ticket-booking portal of Indian Railways, went down during peak tatkal hours across India. As per outage tracking platform Downdetector, nearly 2,500 disgruntled users reported cases of outage at around 10:25 am IST.
What Does Downdetector Show?
While the complaints on Downdetector peaked at around 10:25 am, at the time of writing, however, the reports of outages are on a downward curve.
As per Downdetector’s outage map, IRCTC was reported to be down across cities such as New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai, Madurai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Kolkata.
ABP Live could independently verify that IRCTC.com is showing a “Downtime Message” on screen, accompanied by this text: “DUE TO MAINTENANCE ACTIVITY, E-TICKETING SERVICE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. PLEASE TRY LATER.”
What Can Customers Do During IRCTC Outage?
While IRCTC is yet to issue a statement on the reason behind the widespread outage (apart from the ‘Downtime Message’ as mentioned above), it urges customers to “call customer care no. 14646,08044647999 & 08035734999 or mail at etickets@irctc.co.in” for resolution.
